Join us on 17 October at Tampines to speak up for children, individuals and families living with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD)!
1 in every 14 individuals has this specific learning difficulty. 10 times more often than autism. As common as dyslexia and ADHD.
Yet no one has heard about it - Developmental Language Disorder (DLD).
Developmental Language Disorder is a specific difficulty with understanding and using language. It used to be called “Specific Language Impairment” or termed as “receptive and expressive language delays”.
DLD is lifelong. DLD impacts communication, learning, social relationships and mental health. With intervention and awareness, people with DLD thrive. When we talk about DLD, we create awareness and connection for children and their families navigating this journey.
Look forward to two fireside chats by experts from THK Moral Charities, KKH, NIE and hear from families who are on their journey with DLD. Activity booths at Festive South open from 11am. Children welcome!
