Meet 林老师, Alynna.
With 16 years of experience teaching Chinese, Alynna began her career in a mainstream MOE school before moving into private education. Her focus: kids from English-speaking homes, where Chinese is often the one subject no one at home can really help with.
Alynna believes that struggling with Chinese isn’t necessarily about a lack of effort. Sometimes, it just takes the right explanation, a different approach, and someone who can make sense of the seemingly impossible. Her teaching blends practical strategies, straight talk and a healthy dose of humour - because learning Chinese shouldn’t be miserable!
Her goal? To make Chinese less of a family crisis and more of a subject/language kids can actually tackle with confidence and joy!
For this run, she will mark each practice your child completes by hand, then record the corrections and explanations so your child can watch and learn from them. She will also wrap up with a report and exam insights at the end of the run.

Getting your child to do the paper was never the hard part.
Past-year papers are still one of the best ways to get your child exam-ready - real questions, real exposure, real odds in their favour. Marking it the right way is critical - low quality model answer keys result in low quality corrections. Explaining the mistakes accurately, the way a qualified teacher would, is essential - and it's the part you as a parent were never trained for.

What happens after I book a run?
Hang tight and wait for the run to begin on 20 Nov 2026! In the meantime, you should log in to your run dashboard to get familiar with it and receive updates.
When are the submission deadlines for each practice?
The deadlines for the practices will be set in a staggered manner (i.e. one at a time), spread across the entire run (~30 days). This gives your child enough time to go through the explanation video for each practice before attempting the next.
Do I need to follow the submission deadlines?
Yes, please. The deadlines function as a practice routine that your child can follow. Alynna has also planned her schedule around the deadlines. So if you miss a deadline, Alynna will still mark the paper but may not be able to provide the explanation video.
How long should I give my child to complete the practice papers?
This is indicated in the dashboard (as per exam standards). Alynna strongly recommends that your child attempts the paper with a mindset and in an environment that mimics a dry-run - no distractions, in one sitting, and attempt every question.
How will I know when a new practice is ready or a paper has been marked/explained?
You will see alerts in your run dashboard and you will also receive email notifications regarding the key milestones within the run.
What if a run is full?
You can join the waitlist and we'll let you know if more slots are made available as well as give you early access for the next one that opens for registration. Slots are limited on purpose: this is so that Alynna can allocate the right amount of time & attention to your child's work.
