Meet Zheying.
Mr. Zhang is a former MOE Math teacher who became a full-time tutor and co-founded Good School Learning Hub. A primary and secondary math specialist, he created the START method (Simplify, Topic, Action, Resources, Test) to help students break down and solve challenging questions, and wrote the START Fast Math series.
For this run, he's marking the practices your child does, himself, by hand, and recording the corrections and explanations so you can watch alongside your child.

After each practice, Zheying explains the mistakes and helps your child understand how to get them right the next time. If there's more than 15 minutes' worth, he'll cover the ones that matter most.

At the end of the run, Zheying provides you with an assessment of your child's performance, as well as specific tips on what to look out for during the exams.
Getting your child to do the paper was never the hard part.
Past-year papers are still one of the best ways to get your child exam-ready - real questions, real exposure, real odds in their favour. Marking it the right way is critical - low quality answer keys result in low quality corrections. Explaining the mistakes accurately, the way a qualified teacher would, is essential - and it's the part you as a parent were never trained for.
- Finding the time to mark every question, every paper, on top of everything else.
- Even when you do, knowing an answer is "wrong" isn't the same as knowing how to explain why.
- Schools don't publish answer keys - the one in your assessment book was written by whoever published it, not MOE or your child's school.

What happens after I book a slot?
You can start the sprint immediately, or on a particular date if you prefer. The practices will be assigned and provided to you shortly after receiving your booking.
When are the submission deadlines for each practice?
The deadlines for the practices will be set in a staggered manner (i.e. one at a time), spread across the entire run (~30 days). This gives your child enough time to go through the explanation video for each practice before attempting the next.
Do I need to follow the submission deadlines?
Yes, please. The deadlines function as a practice routine that your child can follow. Zheying has also planned his schedule around the deadlines. So if you miss a deadline, Zheying will still mark the paper but may not be able to provide the explanation video.
How long should I give my child to complete the paper?
This is indicated in the dashboard (as per exam standards). Zheying strongly recommends that your child attempts the paper with a mindset and environment that mimics a dry-run - no distractions, in one sitting, and attempt every question.
How will I know when a new practice is ready or a paper has been marked/explained?
You will see alerts in your run dashboard and you will also receive email notifications regarding the key milestones within the run.
What if a run is full?
You can join the waitlist and we'll let you know if more slots are made available as well as give you early access for the next one that opens for registration. Slots are limited on purpose: this is so that Zheying can allocate the right amount of time & attention to your child's work.
