Daryl is the founder and lead English teacher at Mind's Eye Learning Hub in Balestier, where he teaches PSLE English Composition and Paper 2 to primary school students. He calls himself "The Most Interesting English Teacher" and his mission is simple: make English fun, friendly and familiar. On Instagram (@daryl.mindseyeenglish) he spends a lot of time busting the habits that quietly cost children marks, from memorised model compos to stories packed with characters who do nothing. Parents describe him as patient and encouraging, and say their children come home actually wanting to write.

Set by Daryl for your child's level - Primary 3–5.
Every question marked the way a school would - not based on an answer key that was created by someone unqualified.
Daryl walks through your child's actual mistakes and how to fix them. If there's more than 15 minutes' worth, they'll cover the ones that matter most.
At the end of the run, Daryl provides you with his observations about your child's performance, as well as specific tips on what to look out for during the exams.
Regular writing practice is still one of the best ways to get your child exam-ready - real topics, real writing, real marks on the line. Marking it the right way is critical: composition is marked out of 36, split into 18 content and 18 language marks, and vague feedback like "make it more interesting" doesn't tell a child what to actually fix. Explaining the mistakes precisely, the way a specialist composition teacher would, is essential - and it's the part you as a parent were never trained for.
You will have to wait for the run to begin at the start of the month. In the meantime, you should log in to your run dashboard to get familiar with it and see what to expect next.
Daryl will set the respective deadlines in a staggered manner, across the entire run (~15-21 days) - so that there will be enough time for your child to review the previous practice before attempting the next.
Yes, please. The deadlines function as a practice routine that your child can follow. Daryl has also planned their schedule around the deadlines. So if you miss a deadline, Daryl will still mark the paper but may not be able to provide the explanation video.
This is indicated in the dashboard (as per exam standards). Daryl strongly recommends that your child attempts the paper with a mindset and environment that mimics a dry-run - no distractions, in one sitting, and attempt every question.
You will see alerts in your run dashboard and you will also receive email notifications regarding the key milestones within the run.
You can join the waitlist and we'll let you know if more slots are made available as well as give you early access for the next one that opens for registration. Slots are limited on purpose: this is so that Daryl can allocate the right amount of time & attention to your child's work.
$129 all-in. Three writing assignments, marked by hand, every correction explained on video - before your child sits for the real thing.
No payment now - joining the waitlist just puts you first in line.
